Aletha Garciga

Aletha Viers Garciga, age 65, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at her residence.  She was born March 1, 1961, to the late Donald Buford Viers and Alice Bishop Viers in Abingdon, Va.  

In addition to her mother, Aletha is survived by her son, Johnathan Michael "Mikey" Gobble, of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Susan Cox and husband, Tom, of Bristol, Va.; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Viers, of Lenoir, N.C.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Abingdon Baptist Church, 361 W. Main St., Abingdon, VA 24210, with Pastor Bill Bryan and Mike Henley officiating.
