Benjamin Clark Thomas

Benjamin Clark "Buzz" Thomas, age 80, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his residence in Abingdon, Va.  He was born March 4, 1945, to the late Paul Thomas and Birtie Mae Griffith Thomas.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  

In addition to his parents, Buzz was also preceded in death by three sisters, Annis Delp, Boots Cook, and Phyllis Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Harless Helton and fiancé, Tom Vandyke, of Abingdon, Va.; two sons, Brad Austin Thomas and Mark Andrew Thomas, both of Glade Spring, Va.; sister, Selma Camper of North Carolina; two brothers, Jack Thomas; and Paul Thomas both of Abingdon, Va.; and two grandchildren, Makenzie Helton of Abingdon, Va. and Faith Thomas of Glade Spring, Va.
