Billy Joe Cross

Billy Joe Cross was born in Bristol, Tenn. on July 21, 1968, and passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, at the Ballad Health Hospice House. Joe was a lifelong resident of Bristol and was a brick mason by trade. Joe was the life of the party. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR & the Dallas Cowboys. He was a friend to everyone he met.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, George Goode and Barbara Doss Goode; sister, Rhonda Hamilton; brother, George Goode, Jr.; and two nephews, Robby Sage and Shane Sage.

He is survived by two sisters, Stephanie Goode and, Daniel, of Bristol, Tenn. and Debbie Luchini and husband, Tommy; three nieces: Tye Ragan and, Nicole; Hannah Ragan and, Shawn; and Sierra Sage; four nephews: Jeff Sage and, Tiffany; Onyx; Woodson;
Connor and Mavrick; a special granddaughter, Keeley Otey; as well as his lifelong friend, Rick Long and wife, Judy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Ballad Health Hospice House for their extraordinary hospitality.
