Debra Darlene Crigger

Debra Darlene Crigger passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Shelby, North Carolina. She was born on November 3, 1960, in Abingdon, VA, the daughter of John and Louise Crigger. She is preceded in death by an infant brother, and an additional brother, John Crigger, Jr., as well as her grandparents, John and Mary Seymore and C. E. and Viola Crigger.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter; Crystal Newton; a brother, Mark Crigger; her niece, Lyndsey Counts (Adam); two nephews, Jackson and Lincoln Counts; and a niece, Adriana Counts.

Debra attended Abingdon High School and served two years in the United States Navy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Abingdon Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Bryan officiating.
