Donald Lee Holmes

Donald Lee Holmes, age 72, of Lebanon, Va. and formerly of Itasca, River Grove, and Chicago, Ill., passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at his residence.  He was born October 1, 1953, to the late Thomas Holmes and Lois Jean Ray Holmes. He was an avid bowler; sometimes bowling five leagues a week with several 300 games at Stardust Bowl. 

In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Holmes.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Marie Holmes; his twin brother, Tommy Holmes and wife, Sandy, of Arizona; additional brother, Norman Holmes and wife, Paula, of Florida; sister-in-law, Susan, and husband, Eric, of Illinois; two nieces, Rose and husband, Jin, of Virginia, and Iris, of Illinois; and nephew, Jake Holmes, of Florida.
