Donna Marie Price Henry Shaffer

Donna Marie Price Henry Shaffer, age 77, of Abingdon, Va., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her residence. A devoted member of Highland Chapel Church, her musical talents were evident as she served as a choir leader and showcased her skills on both the accordion and guitar. Additionally, she played a vital role in guiding the church's youth programs- teaching Sunday school for over 20 years. Donna's legacy of faith and service is cherished by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenneth Cicero Price and Nettie Edith Pope Price; husband, Terry Henry; brother, Billy Price; and five sisters, Zola Price, Gracie Merritt, Shirley Hurd, Eileen Norris, and Bonnie Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, William Edward "Billy" Shaffer; daughter, Edie Henry; two brothers, Jimmy Price and wife, Linda, and Allen Price and wife, Beth; sister, Peggy Wright and husband, William, all of Abingdon, Va.; stepson, Mark Shaffer; stepdaughter, Jackie Jackson, both of Bristol, Tenn.; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Chapel Church, 19644 Spoon Gap Rd., Abingdon, Va. 24211, with Bro. Spencer Roark and Bro. Paul White officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will follow in the Highland Chapel Church Cemetery where Joey Malone, Christopher Pearson, Dwayne Pearson, Ethan Price, and Shane Wright will serve as pallbearers.
