Iva Venida Kelly

Iva Venida Akers Kelly, age 65, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at her residence.  She was born April 12, 1959, to the late Leroy Akers and Edith Pruett Akers in Bristol, Va.  She was a former employee of Universal Fibers.  Some of Venida's happiest memories were made fishing along the riverbanks in Mendota.  

In addition to her parents, Iva was also preceded in death by two siblings, Kathy Thomas and Jerry Dean Akers.

She is survived by three children, Donnie Lee Kelly of the home, Deseray Dawn Kelly of Meadowview, Va. and Darren Michael Kelly of Elizabethton, Tenn.; brother, Dion Akers and wife, Crystal, of Bristol, Va.; and six grandchildren, Myranda Childress, Breanna Powers, Chloie Powers, Isabella Kelly, Damien Kelly and an additional grandson.
