James Powell Woody, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of James "Jimmy" Powell Woody, Jr., on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Ballad Health Hospice House.

Jimmy was a beloved CDL truck driver who enjoyed traveling across the United States. He was also an excellent billiards player and had studied golf course management in North Georgia. Above all, Jimmy deeply cherished his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Powell Woody, Sr.; his grandmother, Patricia Martin; his great-grandmother, Mary House; and his aunt, Dianne Clawson.

Jimmy is survived by his loving mother, Debra Stevenson, and stepfather, Tony Stevenson. He is also survived by his sister, Jaime Paige Anweiler; his niece, Savannah Scoggins; his nephew, Preston Anweiler; his aunt, Darlene Linkous; and many cousins.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be organized in the future with family and friends. We will share details once arrangements have been finalized.

May he rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is greatly loved and missed by his family.
