Jerry Lynn Anderson

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Jerry left this world for his long awaited home in Heaven. A faithful son, loving brother and father. He was a member of Grosses Creek Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and racing. He and his son, Derrick, also enjoyed volunteering on search and rescue missions with Intermont Search and Rescue Team. He will be remembered as a dedicated caregiver to his mom and ready to help out anyone with a need.

He is survived by his mother, Pauline Anderson; his son, Derrick Anderson; as well as, his brother, Rick Anderson and wife, Kathy; and two nephews, Will Anderson and Zach Anderson.  Many loved ones have gone before him including his dad, Joe, and son, Shane.

A celebration of life will be announced in the coming days at Grosses Creek Baptist Church, 293 Grosses Creek Rd, Chilhowie, VA 24319, with Pastor George Jessee officiating. Interment will be private.
