Jesse Brandon Maxfield

Aug 6, 1980 — Aug 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jesse Brandon Maxfield, age 45. Jesse was born on August 6, 1980, to the late Wayne and Sandra Hutton Maxfield. From an early age, he was lovingly raised by his maternal aunt, Carole Hutton Duty.

Jesse walked a difficult road, carrying the heavy burdens of personal loss and addiction throughout much of his life. Although he was ultimately unable to overcome those struggles, they do not define the man he was. Jesse had a steady smile, a sense of humor, and a gift for making others laugh. He found joy in the outdoors. He loved music and playing both the electric and acoustic guitar. Above all, Jesse had a caring heart and loved his family deeply.

Jesse was blessed with a large family who loved him unconditionally and spent many years hoping, praying, and doing all they could to support him. We grieve not only because we miss him, but because we wish his journey through life could have been easier and filled with less pain. We find comfort in believing that Jesse is finally at peace, free from the burdens he carried for so long.

Jesse's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he be remembered for his smile, his kind heart, and the moments of joy he shared with each of us over the years.

Jesse is survived by his sister, Erica Maxfield Collins (Chris), a half-sister, Lisa Maxfield Diffenderfer (Greg), maternal aunts, Carole Hutton Duty, Marie Hutton Cody (Anthony) and Betsy Hutton DePew (Edward), special cousins, Stephanie Duty Farley (Kevin) and Joshua Duty (Holly), and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Jesse's life.
