Neoma Kate Talley

The beautiful Neoma Kate Lawson Talley, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was 82 years old and was born and lived in Bristol, Va. Neoma was loved by so many and leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Marvin Kent Talley.

She leaves behind her daughter, Cindy Talley Childers and husband, Gary; and her son, Michael Kent Talley and wife, Judy. She had four amazing grandchildren, Sarah Brooks and husband, Blake; Taylor Braud and husband, Conner; Morgan Talley and Logan Talley. Three delightful great grandchildren, Carter Brooks, Beckett Brooks and Declan Braud. Her special nephew, Anthony Edward Lawson.  Additionally Neoma is survived by her brother, Glenn Lawson and wife, Sandy, and nieces.

Neoma loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden, and visiting yard sales and thrift stores in search of special treasures. She delighted in decorating for every holiday and truly loved each one. Neoma also cherished traveling with Cindy on work trips whenever she could. In her younger years, she especially loved watching Michael play baseball, and she took great joy in staying connected with her friends.

She was an active member of Highlands Fellowship Church, Bristol Campus.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at High Point Cemetery, 24168 High Point Rd., Bristol, VA 24202, with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the High Point Cemetery Association, 13631 King Mill Pk., Bristol, VA 24202.
