Regina Christine Orfield

Regina Christine "Chrissy" Orfield, age 56, of Meadowview, Va., was called home by Jesus on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home. She was born March 8, 1970, to the late William John "Bill" Galliher and Patsy Harris Galliher. She was a longtime hairstylist and a former manager of Sally Beauty Supply in Marion and Abingdon.

In addition to her mother, Chrissy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tony Lynn Orfield; two children, Angus Orfield and wife, Cheyenne, and Hannah Orfield all of Meadowview, Va.; brother, Randy Galliher and wife, Tara, of Saltville, Va.; four grandchildren, Carter Sturgill, Emersyn Orfield, Kolly Holleman and Willow Orfield; mother-in-law, Betsy Orfield of Meadowview, Va.; and an aunt, Daphne "Wink" Blevins of Glade Spring, Va.

A graveside service will be held at Orfield Family Cemetery, 27435 Brookshire Dr., Meadowview, Va. 24361, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. with Jimmy Litton officiating. Russell Carter, Barry Crane, Tim Manuel, Angus Orfield, Carson Owens, and Sam Litton, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

The family expresses deep gratitude to the University of Virginia Transplant Team and the donor family whose generosity extended Chrissy’s life following her double lung transplant in 2018. The Orfield family encourages others to consider organ and tissue donation as a meaningful legacy of kindness and hope.
