Robert Lynn Groves

Robert Lynn Groves, age 64, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born January 19, 1962, to the late Elmer Lee Groves and Martha Ann McCrosky Groves in Bristol, Tenn.

In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Lee Groves; and a brother, Elmer Lee Groves, Jr.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Lynn Groves, Jr. and wife, LaDonna, of Bristol, Va. and Byron Hale of Mechanicsville, Va.; sister, Deborah Darlene Carico of Bristol, Tenn.; grandson, Dawson Groves; niece, Misty Greene-Smith and husband, Michael, of Bristol, Va.; and a nephew, Jesse Carico of Piney Flats, Tenn.

A celebration of life will be held at Morning Star Full Gospel Church, 368 Clay St., Castlewood, VA 24224, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Woody Scott officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
