Thea Lynn Bartlett Salyers

Thea Lynn Bartlett Salyers, aged 72, of Honaker, Va., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born September 1, 1953, in Indianapolis, Ind. to James Russell Bartlett, Sr. She was the fourth of nine children.

Thea's life was marked by dedication and resilience, exemplified by her 28 years of leadership at Hardee's in Burlington, N.C. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, particularly her great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her father, James Russell Bartlett, Sr.; her beloved husband of 42 years, Billy Ray Salyers; an infant son, Michael David Salyers; five brothers, James Russell Bartlett, Jr., Thomas Wayne Bartlett, Richard Dale Bartlett, Myron Dwayne Bartlett, and Brian Keith Bartlett; and two sisters, Betty Jewel Bartlett and Diana Joann Bartlett.

Thea's legacy lives on through her two children, Rhea Dawn Duncan, and husband, Charles, of the home, and Stormy Lee Bartlett of Lexington, N.C.; sister, Cindy Mowle of Texas; three grandchildren: Breea A.N. Brannan of Honaker, Va.; David R.S. Brannan of Texas; Breekya L.S. Bartlett of Lexington, N.C.; and five great grandchildren: Ayden Taylor and Paislee Thomas both of Honaker, Va.; Kyler Brannan and Kameron Brannan both of Bluefield, Va.; and Valley Lowman of Lexington, N.C.; she is also survived by Cindy Wix and Rickey Benifield, both of Georgia, who she considered as siblings
