Thomas Edward "Tommy" Quinn, age 68, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his residence.
He was a man of extraordinary character, defined by his deep integrity, and his boundless warmth. His family was the cornerstone of his existence, and his devotion to them was absolute, particularly his cherished daughter, Allie, who was the light of his life.
Many will remember Tommy as a truly gifted individual, a natural problem-solver whose hands could mend almost anything and whose mind could unravel the most intricate challenges. He approached every endeavor with meticulous care and an infectious dedication, but it was his innate kindness that truly set him apart. He left an indelible mark on countless hearts with his gentle spirit and generous nature.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pierce Quinn; maternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Thomas; uncle, Lowry Thomas; and aunt, Eleanor Meadows. He was also preceded in death by his beloved feline companion, Mr. Friendly.
Tommy is survived by his mother, Ola Barrett, of Abingdon, Va.; daughter, Allie Quinn of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Laura Matney of Abingdon, Va.; several cousins; and friends, Tammy, Mikey, and Kadin Davis; and Randy Hamilton.
Arrangements will be announced as they become available.
