Willard Dewey Hawkins

Willard Dewey Hawkins, of Meadowview, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born on May 29, 1963, in Fairfax, Virginia, he was the beloved son of the late James William Hawkins and Polly Pearly Mae Helton Hawkins.

Throughout his life, he dedicated many years to the agricultural and logging industries, where he found both purpose and joy. A genuine lover of nature, he cherished every moment spent outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Willard was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Dale Hawkins.

He is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Sue Worley, of the home; two children, Johnny Ray Worley, of Johnson City, Tenn. and Amanda Rose Worley of Damascus, Va.; as well as, Kimberly Ann Wagner and husband, William, of Abingdon, Va. and Dustin Allen Thomas of Meadowview, Va., who he also considered as his children; six siblings: Patty Sharon McCoy and husband, Brad, of Abingdon, Va.; Samantha McCoy and husband, Matt, of Michigan; Ruth Fee of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Alice Price and husband, Chris, of Lebanon, Va.; Freddie Lee Wayne Hawkins of Kingsport, Tenn.; Patricia Dillard and husband, Nathan, of Bristol, Va.; William Micheal Wagner, who was like a grandson and brought immense joy to his life; special niece, Tiffany “Grandma” Dotson of Meadowview, Va.; and close friend, Robbie Cullop of Abingdon, Va.
