William Jeremiah Rogers, Jr.

William J. Rogers, Jr., age 81, formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:44 p.m. surrounded by family.  He was born October 19, 1944, in Baltimore, the second oldest of eight, to the late William Rogers, Sr. and Lucy (nee Hofstter) Rogers.  Bill was an avid fisherman and a Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan.  He enjoyed a long career as a generator technician.  He and his wife, Diane, relocated to Russell County, Va. in 2024.  Bill loved spending time with family and friends, especially his seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret and Patricia; and a brother, Charles.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane (nee Wehner) Rogers; daughter, Michelle Vance and husband, Sean; grandson, Sean Vance, Jr., and wife, Leah; granddaughter, Sydney Burgos and husband, Robert; seven beautiful great grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Baltimore.
